So, there I was, making last min. preparations for my trip to Cali. Triple checking my gear, making sure I had ample drawers, so on and so forth... and I get this call. 
- Hello? 
- Hey Buddy! It's George!

It's my old neighbor from Noble Square in Chicago. It turns out he's in California too, and seriously, the universe moves in strange patterns b/c he was in Santa Barbra - Where we would be staying our first night!!!

We made plans to meet up- Not in the usual place though... on the side of a mountain. 

This..... is the result!

She said YES!!

Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of a carefully planned engagement proposal.

With a little sneaky sneaky, I 'ran into' this couple and asked them if i could take a photo to 'calibrate the focus points on my new lens' 

placed them under a tree and Mike quickly went to work.
-She said yes!

Michael+Ryan - Ravenswood Event Space, Chicago

Last weekend I had the pleasure of covering the reception for the beautiful union of Michael and Ryan. They're family and guests were such wonderful and entertaining subjects and the location and food were amazing. 

Michael and Ryan chose the rehabbed raw industrial space at Ravenswood Event Center located at Ravenswood and Irving park in Chicago.  The main event space was once a boiler room and the walls and floor are rustic and raw. The lighting was warm and inviting, as was the stellar live music.

Everyone had a wonderful time and DANCED till they pulled the plug out the wall!
