A little swing goes a long way...
New Orleans Swinging Gypsies are moving and shaking on the scene here in the Big Easy. This dedicated group has managed to secure a gig at nearly every hip spot on Frenchman street over the last few months. Delighted guests both local and tourists are treated nearly nightly to the smooth sway of this Django Reinhardt inspired group.
The Gypsies play in several amalgamations, ranging from a simple trio of guitars to a full set with stand up base, tuba, clarinet, sax and even the local folk hero SweetWater's patented wash board on occasion.

Victory Belles on a TANK for the Saints!
This ones exciting! Not everyday do you get to photograph a group of amazingly talented performers, but... on a TANK! this week I had the opportunity to work with the Victory Belles at the National World War II Museum again. This time was to shoot a promo for the New Orleans Saints! This image will be featured in the print materials distributed at the game and even go up on the Megatron over the game!

I had the AWESOME opportunity to photograph Jaclyn and Ben's wedding at Galvez Restaurant this weekend in the French Quarter. Nestled in the south end near the French Market, Galvez offers amazing views of the river front and St. Peters street.
Along withe beautiful view are gorgeous painted walls of the classic and elegantly styled Galvez Restaurant ball room, bar and balconies.

Warrior Dash
I had the opportunity to photograph the St. Francisville Warrior Dash last weekend. It was a pretty tough 8 hours in the sun, holding a lot of camera and lens and pulling over 12,600 frames!

Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to be part of a carefully planned engagement proposal.
With a little sneaky sneaky, I 'ran into' this couple and asked them if i could take a photo to 'calibrate the focus points on my new lens'
placed them under a tree and Mike quickly went to work.
-She said yes!
