Look at me go! I'm 5 deep ya'll!

Gummy Conclusion

This is one of the most amazing places I ever had the pleasure of exploring. Located at 35th and Ashland, the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company’s crown factory. The place where signature gum flavors like Spearmint and Doublemint were born. Built in 1911, I had the great fortune of making two trips before it fell to the wrecking ball. I'm not sure how much of the factory if any still stands.
- the floors were slick with a thick sticky brown substance. Sugar. The 10 story tall sugar silo the building is built around fed all the various machines with the sticky substance to make gum. Over the years, after having all the machinery cut away, the pipes that carry the sugar all over the factory slowly bleed out the left over- leaving all of the production floors in the factory glistening in tar like splendor.

From time to time I find my self on all 4's stooped over in the back yard inches from some odd creature or another. Pausing for a moment to be face to face with nature can be a wonderfully fulfilling break from the perils of trying to keep up with our evolving political landscape. During this series, I will inevitably feature images of bugs and animals I find in my travels abroad or to my back yard.

I'm caught up again-
It's Monday and I have a mountain of work to complete before I'm off to Chicago for more work.
time for some MOTIVATIONAL imagery

Master Of His Drum

While traveling up the west coast from LA to San Francisco I just happen to run into a long time friend of mine from Chicago. He had been meditating and practicing drum patterns in the mountains above Santa Barbara. We hooked up for a quick little 7 AM shoot as the sun rose to bathe the coastline in warm light.

"Silently Waiting"

This image was captured in the early morning on our way to pick mushrooms in the Polish country side. What is just out of frame is our car sitting on this hand cranked ferry boat.

A buddy of mine asked me why I wasn't posting a "photo a day" . I didn't really have an answer. So, I commemorate our latest visit in the Big Easy, I'm going to try and commit to posting a photo every day. I have a feeling though- like every journal I've ever started the first few pages are tight...then it trails to weeks, months or in my case entire chapters of my life.
Keep me accountable- maybe I'll be better. Maybe ;)

This image was captured using a TTV apparatus I devised With one of who knows how many TTL Cameras I own. Judging from the image I would guess I would venture to say a brownie of some type.

Touching video featuring Brian Jarreau Photography's imagery

Last year, I had the great pleasure of photographing Jules and Jake's AMAZING #AprilFordsDay wedding. As a 1-year anniversary gift to Jake,  Jules put together a video feature the events of that day including Still images I captured during the wedding. It tells a truly beautiful and unique story. I cried a little even...
Enjoy!

(Please note - b/c of edit and youtube some of the images appear to not be sharp, in real life that is not the case ;)
